Privacy policy
Last updated 9 October 2026
We help people who publicly ask how to move to Valencia. Our assistant (vmh-bot) finds such public questions on Threads and in Telegram groups we belong to and suggests a reply. A person on our team always reads it and decides whether to answer. Nothing is posted or sent automatically. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Who we are
Valencia My Home provides relocation and immigration support in Valencia, Spain. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hola@valenciamyhome.com.
What this policy covers
- Our internal assistant vmh-bot, which helps our team spot public questions about relocating to Valencia and prepare answers.
- Our Threads app vmh-bot, which uses the Threads API (keyword search) with our own Threads account. Nobody else signs in to it.
What data we process
- Public Threads posts that match our search terms (for example “moving to Valencia” or “NIE Valencia”): post text, author username, link and time.
- Messages in Telegram groups we are members of: a message is checked automatically, and only messages that look like a relocation question are stored: text, author ID and username, group and link, time.
- For questions our team decides to answer: our draft and reply, who on our team handled it, and the outcome (for example “replied” or “booked a call”).
We do not ask for or store special categories of data (such as health, religion or political views). Messages that are not relocation questions are not stored.
How we use it
To find people who publicly asked for help with relocating to Valencia (residence permits, NIE/TIE, registration, renting, schools, taxes and similar), and to offer them a helpful answer. An automated filter and an AI model sort out which posts are relevant questions and suggest a draft reply. A person always reviews the draft and decides whether to answer, publicly in the same conversation or by private message. Every reply says openly that we are a relocation consultancy. We contact the same person at most once in 30 days.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in offering relevant help to people who publicly ask for it, balanced against your interests: we only use posts you made public, we keep data briefly, a person reviews every contact, and you can object at any time by writing to us. If you object, we stop and delete your data.
Who receives the data
- AI service providers that classify posts and draft replies, as our processors. They receive the post text with author names and usernames removed.
- Our hosting: our own server in the European Union, and Cloudflare for secure network access.
- Telegram and Meta (Threads) as the platforms where the posts and our replies appear, under their own privacy policies.
We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Transfers outside the EU
Some AI providers process data outside the European Union (for example in the United States or China). We only send them the text of the public post with names and usernames removed, never contact details.
How long we keep it
- Messages that are not relocation questions: not stored.
- Threads posts and questions we do not answer: deleted after 30 days.
- Questions we answered, with our reply and its outcome: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Daily statistics without personal data may be kept longer.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy of your data, or object to the processing. Write to hola@valenciamyhome.com with your Threads or Telegram username. We answer within one month. See how to delete your data. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the AEPD.
Security
Access is limited to our team through Telegram sign-in, data is stored on our own server with restricted permissions, secrets are kept outside the code, and logs do not contain message text.
Changes
